It’s a collection of worm tubes, how big is it?
It is approximately 8” long x 5” wide x 4 1/2” thick. Bottom has sandstone. What kind of worm would it be?
I wouldn’t know what kind of worms they are, but you could look up fossils found in your area. Nice find!
@ryan-holen Teredo wood. Teredo is the genus of shipworm, though it’s actually a clam. This was wood that was burrowed by the Teredo clam. It happens to be the state fossil of North Dakota.
