love this stone, I used to live in Michigan and went and picked them up all the time. It’s really touristy now though if you don’t get there early in the season.

looked up some crab claws, it is possible that it is a stone crab claw. I am surprised it stayed preserved so well.

After a couple google searches,I think it might be a Bear, just look up Florida black bear and there is a resemblance, possibly it was a claw of a bear that died near a river and was washed away in a rainy season.

Cool claw! I think somebody had something similar a while back and it turned out to be a crab claw. Maybe that’s what this is?

The bumps along the inner curve and size make me think it’s crab as well. I doubt it would be mammal because they would look more like a folded nail (in other words, not a conical surface like we see here). Crabs preserve well because they 1) have calcium carbonate in their exiskeletons, 2) the ionic-molecular arrangement of their exoskeleton…[Read more]

It reminds me of something like a badger, but looking at where you found it,it might be something from a turtle. Even some sea turtles still have small claws on their fins from when they where terrestrial.

That’s beautiful, it looks to me like a tow and knuckles of extinct indigenous sloth 💥
