2 years, 10 months ago2 years, 10 months ago@charles-du It’s a possibility, but most Plectronocerids seemed to be confined to the Upper Cambrian. So, older than the strata you are collecting in.

2 years, 10 months ago2 years, 10 months ago@charles-du Hard to tell with this one. Part of me leans toward a concretion of some kind then another part leans strongly towards cephalopods like Ellesmerocerida.

3 years, 1 month ago3 years, 1 month agoGreetings @charles-du ! Any idea which formation you collected this specimen from? Looks similar to a stem cephalopod, but that is probably unlikely. Could be a gastropod as well.

3 years, 2 months ago3 years, 2 months agoHi, @matthew-gramling ! Cool specimen, @charles-du ! I think this looks like it might be Rafinesquina:
http://drydredgers.org/brachraf.htmI’m not sure if I’d say it’s the particular species featured in that link, but it looks similar to all these “Rafies”:
