I have a few that look similar but found in different places. Some are just on the side of the country road that leads to the back side (where I live) of the neighborhood. This is in Georgetown, TX.

2 years, 10 months ago2 years, 10 months agoWhat is this? Found in construction area for new homes in an established neighborhood in Georgetown, TX, near 200 S. Ocatillo Ln, 78633 (behind my house). Are these photos okay or should I retake them? The thing in question is stuck to the rock. A geologist I sent a photo to thinks it may be a seed pod, and a paleontologist he spoke to th…[Read more]

If you would like it to go into the eMuseum can you include picture with a scale of some sort (like a ruler), the formation it was collected from, age, and likely taxon? Multiple angles would be great as well. Thanks!

This is a lovely piece of limestone, unfortunately I don’t see any fossils in it. Ammonites are not an uncommon fossil in your area, keep an eye out for spiral-shaped shells.
This clump is part of the other blob I posted with the devil’s toenail and internal mold of the oyster. It’s all one clump. But I didn’t think this side was much of anything.
