3 years, 10 months ago3 years, 10 months agoHi, @Jon-Cartier, could you update the rest of the taxonomy? I think it would be Kingdom -> Animalia, Phylum -> Chordata, Class -> Mammalia , Order -> Carnivora, Family -> Desmatophocidae

3 years, 10 months ago3 years, 10 months agoHi, @Jon-Cartier, we typically require specimen entries to only include one specimen. Would you mind dividing these into 3 different uploads?

4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoReally excellent specimen, @jon-cartier. Do you have another image with a scale bar? Perhaps a side view would be informative. Is the specimen slightly enrolled?
We have a few new entry fields you may be interested in adding to – Collector, Identifier, and Field Notes.
Talk to you soon,

4 years, 9 months ago4 years, 9 months agoHi, @jon-cartier, the images appear to be of many specimens but the occurrence information is for an ammonite. We are working to curate specimens in the myFOSSIL eMuseum and each ‘specimen’ is only one individual rather than assemblages or fauna. Can you explain what you were thinking with this post? Should it be split into multiple specimens?

7 years, 6 months ago7 years, 6 months agoHi Everyone! I found this fossil in Rattlesnake Creek here in Gainesville, FL after Hurricane Matthew. The way it’s broken makes it a tricky one to identify. Let me know what you think it is! I’ve uploaded photos from a few different angles to help you out. It’s about 2 cm vertical length.
